The story follows (Kim Rossi Stuart), an American teenager who travels to Manila to visit his estranged father. Shortly after arriving, Anthony inadvertently interferes with the local gang run by Quino , a brutal karate champion who bullies the townspeople. After receiving a severe beating and being left for dead, Anthony is rescued and nursed back to health by a mysterious old monk and martial arts master named Kimura .
