Every Palava print begins as a hand-drawn illustration by our founder, Bryony Richardson. These aren't just patterns; they are stories. The word itself originally stems from the Portuguese palavra ("word"), evolving from "a slow conversation" into a common British idiom for an "unnecessary fuss". Palava!

In a world that often feels a bit too grey, we believe there is always room for a little more color, a touch of whimsy, and a lot of heart.
