WWE 2009 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) held on June 28, 2009, at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. It was the sixth annual event in the Great American Bash series but the only one to be rebranded simply as "The Bash". Tommy Dreamer retained the ECW Championship in a Scramble match, while Jeff Hardy defeated CM Punk by disqualification, allowing Punk to retain the World Heavyweight Title.
