Finally, he reached the peak of the simulator: the VRAINS era. This was the era of Link Evolution.

Leo selected the campaign mode and scrolled back to the very beginning. The original Yu-Gi-Oh! era. Suddenly, the digital world shifted. He was standing on the virtual grounds of Duelist Kingdom, the salty ocean breeze feeling remarkably real against his skin. Across from him stood the legendary Yugi Muto, his iconic puzzle glowing. The arena transformed into a sprawling, futuristic cyberspace. Data streams surged like rivers of light around him. His opponent materialized in a flash of blue code—Playmaker. The Duel Disk on Leo's arm clicked, and five zones for monsters appeared, now accompanied by the two critical Extra Monster Zones in the center. The rules had changed. The field had evolved. Finally, he reached the peak of the simulator:

Playmaker wasted no time. With a flurry of moves, he summoned Cyberse monsters, weaving them together to create a Link-3 Decode Talker. The monster loomed over the field, its power increasing for every monster it pointed to. Leo was pushed to the brink, his life points dwindling under the precise, calculated assault. He wasn't here to just play. He was here to live the moments that had become legend.

"This is the legacy of every duelist who came before me," Leo said, declaring his final attack. "Accesscode Talker, attack directly!"

On his final turn, Leo looked at his hand. He had the pieces, but he needed to think like a duelist who had mastered all eras.
